About
The School of Pharmacy was established in 2013 by the efforts of Dr. Shahab Behlooli (Professor of Pharmacology) to educate pharmacy students and collaborate with other health professions, aiming to achieve an accessible and integrated pharmaceutical care system to enhance patient recovery. This school, as a subdivision of Ardabil University of Medical Sciences, is based on scientific and humanitarian principles to influence the interactions between patients, medications, caregivers, and healthcare systems. Pharmacy integrates the knowledge of pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences with economics, history, sociology, physiology, management sciences, communication, epidemiology, and law.
Mission and Vision
The mission of the School is aligned with that of the university, aiming to continuously enhance the quality of student education, research, scholarship, and service delivery. It seeks to address the needs of the community and the healthcare system through responsive education, ensuring that accessible and integrated pharmaceutical care enhances the quality of healthcare services. Furthermore, the School of Pharmacy is determined to advance in the areas of training, education, and advanced research in pharmaceutical, clinical, and health sciences to promote professional and ethical behaviors among its administrators, faculty members, staff, and in the provision of services to students.
ArUMS School of Pharmacy is committed to being recognized as one of the leading schools in education, research, and pharmaceutical services at both the national and international levels, in accordance with the country's higher-level documents. It aims to work effectively alongside other medical professions and related fields in the discovery, development, and appropriate use of medications, thereby enhancing the health and well-being of the people.
Educational Programs:
The Faculty of Pharmacy in Ardabil currently offers a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) program. According to the educational regulations, the duration of study for pharmacy students ranges from 5.5 to 6 years, with a total of 212 credit units required for this program.

Facilities:
The School of Pharmacy at Ardabil University of Medical Sciences is equipped with educational, research, and laboratory facilities, including lecture halls and laboratories for pharmacology and toxicology, pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical biotechnology, clinical pharmacy, medicinal chemistry, and pharmacognosy. The school also features a drug control laboratory, animal house, model pharmacy, and pharmaceutical skills center, along with an educational, a medicinal plant garden, an amphitheater, and a library (which includes a study hall and computer center) to support the education of its students.
