Center for Research on Traditional Medicine and Hydrotherapy

The Traditional Medicine and Hydrotherapy Research Center in Ardabil University of Medical Sciences was established in 2020 with the aim of promoting research in traditional medicine and hydrotherapy, enhancing research capabilities at the national and regional levels, and training committed professionals in this field. The center received its preliminary approval based on the decision made in the 277th meeting of the Council for the Development of Medical Sciences Universities on May 10, 2020.

Vision

To achieve a leading position in the field of traditional medicine and hydrotherapy research at the national, regional, and global levels.

Mission

The center aims to create a suitable environment for conducting original research and training specialists in the fields of traditional medicine and hydrotherapy, in collaboration with other research centers across the country and international institutions. It also seeks to provide the facilities and resources related to fundamental and clinical research in Iranian traditional medicine and hydrotherapy.

Research Interests

• Efforts to develop traditional medicine and hydrotherapy and ethnobotany in the country.
• Encouraging, motivating, and employing researchers interested in the fields of traditional medicine, complementary therapies, and hydrotherapy.
• Conducting joint research with domestic research centers in the area of Iranian traditional medicine and hydrotherapy.
• Producing and disseminating knowledge in the fields of Iranian traditional medicine, complementary therapies, and hydrotherapy.
• Working to establish a collaborative network among research centers across the country.
• Providing education to scientific groups as well as the general public.
